Description
The Red Star Arms Retaining Plate is the original design that replaced the old wire “Shepherd’s Hook” used to secure the axis pins in AK rifles. If you’ve ever fought with those bent wires, this is the fix you’ve been looking for.
Installation is fast and simple — install the axis pins, slide the plate into position, and drop in the selector. Once the selector is installed, the pins are locked securely in place.
This plate fits most stamped and milled AK receivers with the selector hole in the standard location. Made from heat-treated steel, it’s built for long service life and repeated use without bending or losing spring tension.
