Rivet Head Drilling Tool

This tool is designed for removing trunnion rivets from parts kits or rivets sold by AK-Builder. Machined from steel and heat treated for wear resistance, it’s built for long service life in shop use.

The tool features a side arm for secure handling while drilling and comes with a 5/32" drill bit. Each end of the tool has a different-sized pocket to fit various rivet head diameters.

Usage Instructions

Clamp the part securely in a drill press to prevent spinning if the bit catches.
Insert the 5/32" drill bit so it extends slightly below the tool.
Set the tool over the rivet head, using the end that best fits the rivet size.
Drill through the center of the rivet head, then move to the next rivet.
After drilling short trunnion rivets, drive them out with a hammer and punch to complete removal.
