AK-Builder Flat Bending Die Set

A heavy-duty die set built for forming AK receiver flats in 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, and Chinese variants (when the correct punch is used). The base starts as a solid 17 lb steel block and is precision machined down to about 14.5 lb, giving it the strength and rigidity needed for consistent, accurate forming.

The die features a radius entry to reduce press force during bending, and built-in alignment pins in the punch make setup simple and repeatable. The pins can be adjusted up or down for proper 7.62 or 5.45 magwell spacing.

There are three available punches — 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, and Chinese — each with a different internal dimension but the same outer dimension, so the base works with any punch as long as the proper flat is used.

Designed for use with a 12-ton shop press or larger, this set delivers precision results and long service life.

Compatibility & Notes

• MAK90 punch update (Oct. 19, 2018): Punches with serial 7310 or higher are compatible with the new MAK90 underfolder flats. Older punches (<7310) will damage those flats.

• All punches share the same external dimensions, allowing them to work with the same die base when used with the correct flat.

• Designed for repeated shop use.
