Description

Premium U.S.-made Yugo M72 RPK barrel, 21.5" length with a 1:10 twist and 14×1 LH muzzle threads. Machined from 41V50 chrome-moly vanadium steel, nitrided for durability, and built to exacting specs with:

Handguard retainer cuts
Extractor clearance cuts
Authentic cooling fins
Stamped USA 7.62 (922r compliant part)
Gas port not drilled

As of May 2025, AK-Builder is proud to produce these M72 RPK button-rifled barrels 100% in-house. In 2023 we invested in new equipment to manufacture our own blanks from raw steel, with upgraded barrel profiling and chambering machines. These improvements allow us to:

Hold tighter, more consistent tolerances
Increase efficiency and volume production
Lower costs and pass savings to our customers

Each barrel is drilled, reamed, and button-rifled in-house, then sent for vacuum stress relief heat treatment. This process prevents scale, reduces distortion, and ensures superior dimensional stability.

Made in the USA. Counts as one U.S. part for 922r compliance.
